Villa S. Antonio, 1935. First a customs house, then a tavern, then Limone Piemonte’s first bed and breakfast. Always the same family.

Our History

We started out with two rooms and a tavern.

Once upon a time, there was Villa S. Antonio, a villa built in 1935 next to the village church, which between 1948 and 1951 housed one of Limone’s first customs posts. The real magic began in 1975, when Giulio and Rosy’s dream gave rise to the village’s first bed and breakfast: just two rooms and a lively Piedmontese ‘piola’, where people would sit to share good food and laughter.

We’ve come a long way since then. The villa has been renovated and extended in the rustic mountain style, with a few modern touches, and thanks to Alberto Testa, son of the original owners, it has retained the spirit of those days intact. We remain a family-run hotel: no rigid formalities, just genuine smiles and the feeling of being part of the family.

Giulio and Rosy opened the village’s first bed and breakfast: two rooms and a small tavern.

Fourteen rooms and the spirit of those days, first carried on by Alberto, son of Giulio and Rosy, and now preserved by the Calandri Chiesa family of hoteliers from Cuneo, whilst they await until the third generation of the Testa family can take up the management.

Breakfast and local specialities

The day begins with our breakfast, which is included in your stay. When the restaurant is open, you’ll find traditional Piedmontese dishes, in the spirit of Giulio and Rosy’s ‘piola’; when it’s closed, we’ll recommend the best local restaurants in the area with which we have special arrangements.

It offers a daily half-board menu featuring local specialties.

Ski and bike storage with e-bike charging

A secure room for your equipment, e-bike charging points and a dedicated area for washing your bikes after your excursions.

Car park and garage

Outdoor car park at €10.00 per day – cannot be booked in advance (subject to availability). If you prefer covered parking, the underground garage is available for €20.00 per night, subject to booking.

Garden and outdoor seating area

The green oasis surrounding the villa, perfect for relaxing in summer whilst the children play outdoors.

Lift and accessibility

The lift provides easy access to all floors, and the property has two rooms equipped for guests with reduced mobility.

Free Wi-Fi

A stable, free connection is available throughout the house.

Smoke-free environment

Our rooms are furnished with the warmth of wood; for everyone’s well-being and safety, the property is strictly non-smoking throughout. The use of candles or any other open flames is strictly prohibited.
